Free Lounge for Collaboration Opens at San Francisco Intl Airport
#Converge@flySFO is a space set aside for travellers at SFO to come together to exchange ideas about technology, start-ups, the shared economy, disruption, travel, politics, and ways to change the world.
Says SFO: Often times, airports can be big lonely places, even when you are surrounded by thousands of fellow travelers. Walk into the #Converge@flySFO space and you are no longer a stranger; everyone is there to talk with someone about something.
San Francisco, the Silicon Valley, and the entire Bay Area are teeming with creative people who are full of ground-breaking, disruptive, and crazy ideas. Meet at #Converge@flySFO to share your innovative approach and collaborate on those ideas in real time and in real life; a little like Speakers’ Corner in Hyde Park in London, only a little techier and a lot less yelling. Who knows? You could have the next game changing idea.
The #Converge@flySFO room is located in the International Terminal near Gate G93. It is unmanned and fitted out with free wi-fi, tables, chairs, power outlets, a white board and a magnetic chalk board.
You can either walk-in and take your chances on randomly meeting someone interested in your idea, or you can do a little shameless online self-promotion in advance of your travels.
Write your topic of conversation on the wall with your seat location or description and what time you have to leave to catch your flight. Be sure it is the whiteboard wall and not the regular painted wall… make sure you use the markers provided.
