Travelling In The Post-Covid Era: Pro Tip #1
Travelling in the post-pandemic era has created several new levels of anxiety - even for the savviest of travellers.
Here’s one PRO TIP: like the anxious passengers at Riga Airport, do not wait until the last minute to take a Covid test - especially the more expensive and complex PCR test. The timing of results is unpredictable and you can and will be denied boarding if you’re headed to a destination which requires proof of a negative test.
Best to submit for a test 2-3 days prior to your departure. But no earlier as if you’ve a flight delay that could push your test result beyond the 72-hour limit required by most jurisdictions.
Remember - last minute or airport testing sites tend to be the most expensive, often well exceeding US$200. Plan ahead and save.
Also - print out your results in case your device becomes unavailable!
